travel information

To help make your journey to our celebration smooth and stress-free, here’s some helpful travel info for getting to and around the island:

Arrival - Flying into Jamaica

The closest airport to our celebration destination is Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, which offers the most direct international flight options from major U.S. cities. If you're flying from San Francisco or other long-distance hubs, you'll likely have one layover, but direct flights are available from cities like Miami, Atlanta, and New York.

Once you arrive in Montego Bay, you're just a short drive away from the resort and the heart of Carnival Weekend celebrations!

Ground Transportation in Montego Bay

After landing at MBJ, you’ll have a few transportation options:

  • Private Shuttle Service: We recommend pre-booking a private transfer for a smooth, direct ride to your hotel or resort.

  • Resort Transportation: Some resorts offer complimentary or paid airport transfers—check with your accommodation for details.

  • Certified Taxis: Available at the airport—be sure to confirm the fare before your ride.

  • Car Rentals: Available at MBJ if you’d prefer flexibility to explore on your own.

Whether you're joining us for the full weekend or just part of it, getting to Montego Bay is easy—and the celebration starts the moment you arrive!

WHAT TO BRING

As you prepare for our special celebration in beautiful Jamaica, we want to make sure you have everything you need for a fun and comfortable trip! Be sure to pack lightweight, breathable clothing for the tropical weather, along with swimsuits, sandals, and sun protection like sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats. For our anniversary dinner, bring your favorite resort semi-formal attire, and don’t forget comfortable shoes for exploring and beach-friendly outfits for downtime. Bug spray, reusable water bottles, and a light sweater for breezy evenings are also great to have on hand. Most importantly, pack your excitement and carnival vibes — we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

To enter Jamaica, all travelers will need a valid passport — make sure it’s not expiring within six months of your travel dates. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days, but you may be asked to show proof of your return or onward ticket upon arrival. It’s also a good idea to have a printed copy of your hotel or accommodation confirmation and any necessary health documents, depending on current travel guidelines. Always double-check with your airline and the official Jamaican travel site for any updates before the trip!
